Alright. I can't get a good grasp on your skills with your using an unknown deck, however, so would you rather I tested your skill level now or waited until you gt your deck back?

Well, I can give it a shot with Sora's deck. It's not mine, but it still has a lot of fusion, so I might be able to kinda figure it out. Especially if they give me a hand with it.

Besides, I'd like to duel again, even if I have to wait for my partners.

Alright then. Shiun'in, please give us some space.

[She throws her hand out to the side, the duel disk activating as it does. Looks like they're dueling traditional style, at least, which should help.

Sora dutifully moves aside to sit on the table and watch.]

Alright! Let's duel!

[As it turns out, the worry is valid. Though Judai is familiar with the deck and its rough usage, having dueled Sora multiple times before, he's very clearly not all that comfortable with it. Instinct and luck still help, quite a bit, enough that he's able to hold his own for a while -- which is quite admirable, at least -- but in the end, being on different wavelengths with monsters he's not even remotely used to on his side makes it so that she beats him pretty handily.

Even so... the fact that he can do that with a deck he's unfamiliar in using should say enough for the moment.]

Geeze... well, at least we tried.

...a satisfactory result. When you get your normal deck back, I'll re-test your abilities with it. Aim to win. You'll be graded on it.

[She slots her cards back into her deck.]

I've got to test some other abilities of yours, however, before I can let you go.

[And now he looks completely drained, like she just had him run four times around the entire school.]

She means which color you get, Judai...

...I'm afraid you don't get to pick your colors. They're based on your skill level.

Yeah, but I was in Osiris Red back in my Duel Academia. And it's my dorm, so I'm sticking with it!

Ah, because of that Action Duel thing, right? I had a little practice with it.

[Somewhere under the cloak? It's impressive none the less, but Judai nods, making sure the duel disk is secure.]

[And he'll go! The speed... is actually decently good, though not quite as great as someone used to Action Dueling. Still, it's far from the worst starting point.]

...that's acceptable. And how high can you jump? Can you demonstrate?

Uh, sure thing.

[He'll jump straight up! It's... not very high. About high enough to catch a branch in a tree, but nothing even remotely close to "good".]

Dueling ability, so far registers at at least Yellow, if not Blue... I'll have to wait to see how you play with your actual deck. But athletic ability is low, more of a Red level.

Alright. Last test.

Activate your duel disk.

[Okay, that order is confusing, and he just looks at her blankly.]

[She activates her own, bracing herself.]

[Let's see... well, he can do this. Glancing at her duel disk, he exhales, then runs forward, swinging his down to hit hers with all the strength he can muster. Without the darkness backing it up, it's really not much more than any normal teenager can do, especially with how clearly hesitant he is in the strike.]
