[It sounds pretty boring, but the way Judai talks makes it obvious how much he loves his school.]

You seem the type of person who makes friends everywhere.

Kinda, yeah! It just sorta happens, but I like it.

[scissorbear]

[He reaches into his pocket, taking out one of the larger lollies that are intended to just be licked at and offering it to Judai as he walks.]

You said you slept through class though, so why does it matter if your classes were mixed?

'cause it meant we all took the same stuff, so everyone could help everyone else and we were one big school.

[Ooh, lollipop. He gladly takes it, tearing the package off and starting to lick on it.]

No, I meant... why does it matter to you?

[He tugs out one of his own, licking at it leisurely.]

Because everyone else needed help. Just because I slept through it doesn't mean everyone did, and people still worried over the stuff in there.

[Even when he didn't care, the fact that someone else did seems to be enough for him.]

But it doesn't affect you.

[Is this guy incapable of selfishness?]

[From the confused look on his face, probably, yes. At least about anything not to do with food.]

Never mind... It isn't important.

[He has bigger things to drill into his head.]

Look. That tower's where we're going.

For the class thing?

[Whoa, that's... tall.]

[scissorbear]

That's right. That's what the professor said earlier, anyway.

[hyperhero]

What are we going to do?

[If you're throwing him right into a lecture, he might fall asleep again...]

I dunno. We'll just have to find out.

[hyperhero]

Uh... alright!

[Hopefully it's something easy... maybe they'll show him how the new duel disks work.]

[scissorbear]

[It seems that way... because when he enters, it's to a hall with surprisingly few people in it. The professor, a tall woman with a cloak concealing her clothing, beckons him over.]

You must be the Yuki boy. I'm Professor Fujioka Mira.

[Beat.]

Where in the world is your uniform?

[hyperhero]

You guys took it!

[And Judai is as informal as ever, crossing his arms and pouting.]

I woke up on that table thing in my boxers, and I just got my jacket back a little while ago.

[scissorbear]

[She adjusts her glasses, staring at him with a cold expression.]

I won't presume to know what nonsense you're talking about... but I expect to see you dressed next time. Here.

[She holds out one of the duel disks.]

[hyperhero]

[Judai's reply to that is derailed when he sees the duel disk, taking it excitedly and starting to prod at it.]

Cool! So this is the type you guys use.

[This thing's a phone, too. Awesome.]

Are there red ones, like mine?

[He holds up his arm, realizes the duel disk isn't there, then just keeps it up for the jacket's color.]

[She pauses, cocking her head slightly to look him over.]

There are. Would you prefer that?

[She really wasn't expecting him to be this invested. Even her actual students usually aren't this excited.]

[hyperhero]

Of course! Red's my color.

[He's like some sort of excitable three year old given a noisemaker toy or something.]

[scissorbear]

[...he's almost kind of cute. Ah, well. She plucks the duel disk out of his hand, walking over to a box set out on the table, and takes one out that's still sealed in the packet. It's not quite the same red, but it's definitely intensely red. Cutting the packet open, she powers it up and quickly starts to input the start-up details.]

Come over here please, Yuki. And hold out your arm.

Alright!

[He's over in a flash, eagerly offering his arm and watching what she's doing surprisingly intently. It's the kind of look Sora's only really seen when he's watching duels -- the sign he's paying rapt attention, trying to pick out every detail.]

[scissorbear]

[She sets the startup scan going over his arm, tapping the button to stop it once it's done.]

There. Now it'll automatically recognize your arm and strap on when held over. To remove it, you just press this button on the side, but remember to keep hold of it when you do, or else it'll just fall.

Got it.

[He'll just let it strap itself on, then, and start fiddling with it eagerly. Not that it can do much without a deck, but the start-up stuff is easy enough to do without direction. Perhaps shockingly, considering his normal stupidity.

The projected energy ends up being surprisingly... green?]

...why would you make it green if you like red so much?

[Sora watches him wit interest. He's picking it up fast...]
