No it's not! All of that stupid crap you keep spouting is just that! It's just foolish! All you're doing is repeating the same dumb lies over and over!
Academia took over that place for a reason! Even if I don't know what it was, it doesn't matter, because it's what Academia wanted! Don't you dare insult it!
I'm not. If this is how your dimension works, then I really don't want to be here. And if you guys can't find a way to send me back home, I'll figure it out myself.
[And with that, he yanks his jacket away from Sora, putting a bit of that darkness-enhanced strength behind it so he can turn on his heel and start off. He'll just look around for his deck, first...]
I set off the emergency alarm. [He sucks on his lollipop, watching him.
Every room is now in lockdown mode. All of the doors are sealed except for those with special authorization. The windows are secured. Everyone is now on alert status and will fight if they need to.
This is a training ground for Duel Soldiers, Judai... if you're going to resist us, you have to understand that you're going to meet serious opposition.
Are you completely stupid?! I told you! There's no way home! There's not even a way off this island! The most you could do is go to one of the other dimensions! And we're not letting you fall into enemy hands!
[Even as he snaps, he hears it. Someone has just shot at Judai. Not bullets, of course - god no - but darts, tipped with drugs, have just shot past him. He can hear the security team talking into their duel disks behind him.]
[Judai's frustration and anger begins to visibly appear, his eyes shifting to the dual-toned colors as the first of those darts zooms past him. Why won't Sora get it?!]
Just let me leave!
[And just like that, his anger and frustration and fear (even he knows what that dart could be) have flipped the switch again, the lights around them shattering violently and spraying the security team with the shards. Oddly enough, no matter how Sora dodges, there's no glass anywhere that he is...
Though the wings are new, Judai uses them well enough to propel himself forward, knocking aside the team ahead of him as he makes his own door, claws sinking into the metal to begin to rip it open.]
[Sora jumps back in shock, instinctively moving out of the way - only to find that none of the glass is there. He's the best off of the lot of them.
One of the security team members, a girl maybe fourteen years of age, shrieks and fires again, frantically. And once she does, it's a trigger for the rest of them to start shooting in a panic. Unfortunately for Sora... his unnecessary dodging has thrown him right in their path, and they're not taking any care to avoid him.]
[Judai is hyper-aware of the room like this, especially plunged into darkness as it is, when means he knows exactly when those darts start heading in Sora's direction.
The "door" forgotten, Judai whirls, the darkness snapping up like a tangible -- if small -- wall in response to his desire to protect his friend. That "wall" is the first thing that stops those frantically fired darts. The second is Judai's body itself when Sora is pulled against him, the teen wrapping his wings around Sora's back just to make sure. Having turned back around and with only the thought of protecting Sora rather than himself in his mind, quite a few of the wildly fired darts have caught him in the process.
The drug layered on them is something of the scientist's own invention... a sedative far stronger than normal, specifically to account for those dangerous powers. That means that it's only a moment after grabbing ahold of Sora that Judai begins to sway, the heavy feeling in the air dispelling as those wings and claws do again.]
Don't... stand in the way of stuff like that...
[And then even the glow is gone, Judai falling on top of Sora as the drugs put him deep under.]
[Sora is startled beyond compare when that 'wall' shields him, but it's nothing compared to the absolute shock when strong arms enclose him, wings wrapping around him protectively as he's held close. He feels warm, somehow, though it's not a physical warmth. It's akin to that feeling of surprise when Yuzu asked him to train her, the feeling of comradeship when Yuya teased him, the cheerfulness of the Sakaki household as Yuya's mom fussed over him and the many, many small animals gamboled around. It's a feeling of friendship, of fondness, of that casual protectiveness his friends displayed for each other on rare occasions.
His heart hurts a little, suddenly, a wrench of pain. Being back here isn't the same. Wasn't the same. He's on the verge of a brief, but strong, epiphany.]
HEYYY-! YOU BUNCH OF COWARDS, GET AHOLD OF YOURSELVES AND HELP ME OUT ALREADY!
[The girl, whose weapon has run dry by now, drops it and scrambles over to help. For an Academia student to have lost control like that... it's common, but it's still humiliating.]
[The drug does its work well, if nothing else, and Judai is whisked away without any further issue, Sora taken to be checked for wounds. Once it's certain that's clean, and the recording from the cameras is taken... that's when the flood of questions starts, some of the scientists pouring over Judai's memories again and Sora being put under to check his once he can answer what they want. The conclusion ends up one that is all too pleasing.
Against all logic, for whatever reason, Judai's care for Sora is deep -- deep enough that even after being threatened and yelled at, he was still willing to put himself in danger to protect Sora, even without knowing what the darts actually were.
It's an amazing thing -- just like that, they have a confirmed way to control him, or at the least, curb any of those fits that happen again. Once Sora's back awake, he's filled in on exactly what happened, shown both the camera and the memories, and informed that he's been assigned to Judai full-time, now, just in case. All that's left, after that, is to send Sora to Judai's new room.
It's one that's far less friendly looking than the one before. Noticing that both fits had started with the lights shattered, the ceiling has been set up with reinforced floodlights, intent on making the room as bright as possible without making it fully blinding. Judai is restrained in the middle of it, his lower legs shackled to the floor with his arms held tightly above his head, all of the restraints heavy and reinforced and leaving him in a very uncomfortable position.
The mask around his eyes is another brain monitor, but this one is hooked up to something, the wires crossing out into a secondary room where all the equipment has been stored, just in case.
Judai gives no reaction to the door opening, but the slight groan suggests he's beginning to come around, at least.]
[Sora shields his eyes. This is stupid... Judai's already shown he can just break all the lights. But he guesses they know best.
Going over, he reaches out to touch Judai's cheek gently.]
Hey... come on. Wake up.
[Judai's attachment to him is one he doesn't understand. He likes it, but he doesn't understand it. He's thought over it but he can't quite get it. Why Judai feels so strongly for his friends that even their causing him pain is forgiven in favour of protecting them, he doesn't know. But if this is his full-time job now, he just has to accept it.]
[Judai lifts his head a bit at that, confused. The slight noise from the restraints reveal that he'd tried to move out of habit, but had been kept from returning it.]

[Sora grabs him by the jacket, shrieking those words at him angrily.]
no subject
War is stupid! It's one thing to protect everyone who's important, but taking over other places and chasing down people is wrong!
no subject
Academia took over that place for a reason! Even if I don't know what it was, it doesn't matter, because it's what Academia wanted! Don't you dare insult it!
no subject
I'm not going to use my powers that way! And that's that!
no subject
[He almost snarls the words out. Judai may have noticed the corridor just cleared when they started arguing. Or he may not.]
You're going to do it, one way or the other.
no subject
I'm not. If this is how your dimension works, then I really don't want to be here. And if you guys can't find a way to send me back home, I'll figure it out myself.

[Except that a loud blaring noise is echoing through the halls suddenly. Did Sora just hit an alarm?!]
Warning... intruder alert has been triggered. Everyone, enter alert status, and await further orders from your professors.
[The woman's voice echoes in the halls as lights start flashing. And just like that, every door is being electronically locked.]
no subject
[Okay, this door is locked. Was this door locked before?]
What'd you do?!
no subject

[That seems kind of excessive to him, to lock everything down!]

Engaging now!

[It takes a moment, but he replies, groaning a little and tilting his head into the touch.]
What happened...? [Wait... wasn't there...?] You okay?
no subject
[He cups Judai's cheek gently, letting some of his confusion slip into his voice.]
Even after I yelled at you... why?
no subject
[His voice, on the other hand, is as warm as ever, even amidst the groggy tone from the drugs.]
no subject
[Excuse him, he's briefly hugging Judai. It is only brief, though, because he's aware of the cameras.]
no subject
[Judai lifts his head a bit at that, confused. The slight noise from the restraints reveal that he'd tried to move out of habit, but had been kept from returning it.]
Is something wrong?
no subject
[Letting go, he sits on the floor in front of him.]
Although you know you got yourself in trouble, right? Doing something like that to begin with.
